About Us

Dave's Collision has been a family owned business in the Brookings area since 1957. Dave Quam purchased the business from his dad, Herb Quam, in 1982, and in January 2011 he sold it to his son, third generation owner, Nate Quam. Nate has continued to strive for excellence in the industry and it is evident in the programs and classes he and his staff are active in. Dave's Collision is one of the few I-CAR Gold Class shops in the state of South Dakota and has been an I-CAR Gold Class shop since 1993.

Did you know that your vehicle came off the assembly line being painted with a water based paint? Dave’s Collision made the decision to use water based paint not only because it is environmentally safe, but because it was the best product to return your vehicle back to its factory standards.

At Dave’s Collision we pride ourselves on keeping up with the changes happening in the automotive industry. We were the first shop in Brookings to “Go Green” using Envirobase waterbourne paint by PPG. We also made the investment in a resistance spot welder allowing us to simulate the same welding procedures used at the factory when attaching exterior panels.

Dave’s Collision will not sacrifice quality repair based on price. One way we have met the new constraints of insurance companies is by being as efficient as possible. We have put in place standard operating procedures and policies to increase and maintain efficiency.

Dave's Collision provides plenty of parking and a large, clean office where you can stop in to discuss your estimate or come by and check on the progress of your vehicle at any time.

As part of the Certified First Network we chose to subscribe to Customer Research Inc.
